Our Future. Our Responsibility. Our Opportunity.
First Baptist Estero places high priority on our kids by providing them age appropriate Bible teaching in a safe environment.CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
You are never too young to learn about Jesus.
Our mission to change lives through strong and rooted families starts with our youngest members. On a weekly basis, we offer ministry in age-appropriate classrooms that feature programs that are designed to teach biblical principles on a level they understand.

Upcoming Wednesday Night Study:
Fruit of the Spirit
The tree doesn’t TRY to grow fruit; it grows naturally as long as the tree has plenty of water and sunlight. In the same way, when we focus on trusting in God and filling our mind and hearts with God’s Word, the fruit of the Spirit will start to naturally be seen in our life.

“Our Children’s Ministry isn’t just babysitting. Our team teaches our youngest members about the importance of living a life for Jesus”
– Pastor Frank Brand

At First Baptist Estero, children get a chance to hear and discuss a Bible study and then play active games and do hands-on activities to help them experience and remember the lesson being learned. The lessons are from the Old Testament and New Testament, but ultimately they are all pointing towards a personal relationship with Jesus. Walking daily with Jesus changes lives. We want to help the children establish roots in Christ Jesus. “Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught. And always be thankful.” Colossians 2:7

Stories of Grace
Children will learn Bible stories that include some of the most unlikely means God uses to display His grace–objects and animals. From Moses’ rod to Balaam’s donkey to Rahab’s rope to Mary’s alabaster box and more, students gain a front row seat to the unfolding drama of God’s grace in the pages of Scripture. As each story emphasizes an applicable truth for children, kids learn how to respond to the powerful grace of God in their own lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there multiple classrooms?
We have three different classrooms. The Little Sprouts is for birth through 2 years old. Your child will be welcomed into a loving and safe environment designed specifically for this age. The volunteers even wear shoe coverings so we can be sure to provide a clean environment for these little ones. Our volunteers love to get down on the floor and help the children explore through play, reading books, and singing songs.
The Saplings is a class designed for ages 3 through 5. We have a team of people who love children and love the Lord ready to serve you. The children will have the opportunity to play, sing and learn through hands-on activities. We believe that children of all ages can learn that God loves them and has a special plan for their lives.
Rooted Kids is for 1st through 5th grade. These children get the chance to dive into God’s word and learn in a fun and exciting environment. We believe that children remember what they are taught when they sing, play active games and do hands-on activities related to the lessons. We want the children to develop strong roots in Jesus and the Word of God.
Is my child safe?
At First Baptist Estero, your child’s safety is a top priority. All of our leaders and volunteers are screened and background checked. We also use a computer check-in system that prints a label for each child as well as a corresponding label for the parent or guardian. This label must be given to the leader when the child is picked up. There is also a locking door to enter the children’s department. Only approved people will be allowed to enter the area.
What will my child learn?
First Estero Rooted Kids is focused on teaching children about Jesus Christ through the study of the Bible. On Sundays we are using Bible Studies for Life. This uses stories from the Old Testament and the New Testament. All the stories lead to one thing, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. On Wednesday nights, we use a variety of mini series studies that keep it fun and interesting for the kids. They enjoy fun games and activities to help them learn while also connecting with the other children building strong bonds and good friendships.
My child has an allergy. What do I do?
When you arrive at FBCE, the check-in team will assist you. They will get information about your child including allergies or physical limitations. This information gets entered into the computer system and when an allergy is present the label will be colored different to make sure that the leader is aware of the condition.
What if my child needs me during service?
If a situation arises where a parent needs to be contacted, we will send a text message to the phone number which was provided. If the parent doesn’t respond, a helper will be sent into the service to discreetly notify the parent that they are needed.
